How to Make the Most of Your Photo Booth Booking
Smart tips for styling, timing, and creating a guest experience people will actually remember
You booked the photo booth. Great move. Now let’s make sure it gets used, enjoyed, and talked about long after the last song plays.
Whether you are planning a big wedding, an intimate reception, or a high energy party, here are a few easy ways to get the most out of your booth booking and keep guests coming back for more.
Think About the Flow of the Night
The placement of the booth matters. You want it somewhere visible and easy to access, not hidden in a back hallway or in another room. Set it up near the party, the lounge, or the dance floor and it becomes part of the action. The more natural it feels to walk over and jump in, the more your guests will use it.
Style It Like It Belongs There
Your photo booth should feel like a part of the overall design, not just a side attraction. Choose a backdrop that matches your vibe. Skip the props if you are going for a clean look, or keep it simple with a few custom touches that reflect your personality.
Working with a planner or decorator? We are happy to coordinate with them to make sure the booth setup blends beautifully with your space.
Add Extra Time for Cocktail Hour
This is one of our favorite add ons. Guests arrive, you are off doing photos, and the drinks are flowing. That quiet little window between the ceremony and reception is the perfect time to open the booth.
Adding an extra hour for cocktail hour means you get way more value from your booking and your guests start the night with something fun and memorable.
Use Idle Time to Your Advantage
Idle hours are used when there is a pause in booth time but we are still on site. A perfect example is when the booth is open during cocktail hour, closed during dinner or speeches, then reopened once the party picks up again. The booth stays in place, the attendant stays at the venue, and everything is ready to go as soon as the timeline calls for it.
Early setup is already included for events in Winnipeg. For out of town events, we can still set up in advance for an additional fee.
Idle time gives you flexibility without paying full hourly rates when the booth is not in use.
Let Guests Know It Is There
It sounds simple, but it makes a huge difference. Have your MC or DJ give the booth a shoutout. The more you make the booth feel like a must do moment, the more it will get used.
